How a coal-free heating system works

A classic hookah requires charcoal, which emits carbon monoxide and other combustion products when burned. Ensō replaces this process with electric heating: a porcelain chamber evenly heats the mixture within a set range of 180 to 330 °C without an open flame.

According to the manufacturer, Ensō's all-electric operation eliminates up to 95% of the toxic carbon monoxide and harmful substances associated with burning coal. This is a fundamental difference from the traditional approach and the main idea around which the device is built.

A wide temperature range - from 180 to 330 °C - allows you to select the mode for a specific nicotine-free herbal blend and your own preferences. Lower values give a light, soft vapor; higher - a denser and richer result.
